Who’s really hiring game developer talent?

We've spent the past month exploring the transformation taking place in the gaming industry. Companies of all sizes in industries as diverse as education and television broadcasting are on the hunt for skilled game developers, creating a drastically different talent environment for developers and for the video game publishers used to having their pick of the litter. What’s most interesting, though, is that these other industries are recruiting gaming talent more frequently than the game industry itself.

We’re not the only ones talking about this. The Philadelphia Business Journal interviewed us last week about how the video game industry has competition for top talent, and this morning Technical.ly shared our infographic with their readers.

What about you? Are you seeing an increase in jobs for game developers at your organization?
