A major U.S. telecom provider, known for its extensive 4G LTE network, needed to bring its Network Operations Center (NOC) back in-house The NOC is essential for keeping telecommunications networks running smoothly, handling any issues like cell service outages, and ensuring continuous service. The company, having outsourced its NOC operations, realized the importance of having an in-house team to maintain control and efficiency. Yoh was brought in to handle the urgent and large-scale resourcing needs for this transition, aiming to fill a high volume of positions within 3 to 8 months. 

Yoh’s Kansas City team, known for their telecom expertise, jumped into action. With a dedicated team of four—one Account Manager and three Recruiters—they quickly set to work addressing the client’s key issues. Given that NOCs operate 24/7, Yoh faced the challenge of recruiting staff for various shifts, including demanding weekend schedules with four 10-hour shifts. Additionally, the client’s preference for on-site interviews for each candidate added another layer of complexity to the recruitment process.  

Despite these challenges, Yoh successfully sourced, screened, and placed over 100 qualified candidates, including NOC Techs I and II and NTAC Engineers. About 70 hires were made in the first six months, with the remaining positions filled in the following two months, exceeding the client's expectations for both speed and quality. 

Yoh made a significant impact by filling over 100 roles in under eight months, which allowed the telecom provider to transition its NOC back in-house without any service disruptions. This success showcased Yoh’s expertise in managing complex resourcing needs and reinforced their reputation as a reliable telecom partner. As a result, the client regained control, improved service quality, and maintained smooth operations. 

Building on this success, Yoh is now expanding the NOC for a smaller broadband fiberoptic company, having already placed two key hires and with another NOC Engineer in the pipeline. Looking ahead, Yoh is excited to continue supporting telecom and 5G advancements through strong partnerships.
