There are many mobile recruiting evangelists, detractors, and those in between. Though mobile recruiting has a long way to go, it's obvious that if you want to go where the talent is, mobile recruiting is it. It's here to stay, and it's growing rapidly.

Think about how widely distributed workers are. Then think about how we all access information, including available jobs or insight on career options. Do you like to search the Internet? Sure, but it's also easy to get lost on the Web.
For that reason, many prefer to opt-in to respected sources, or to have information "pushed" out through an RSS feed, Facebook or LinkedIn statuses, Twitter updates, or even e-mail. Today, we receive a steady stream of information by the minute. Admittedly, a lot of it may be noise, but there's value there too.
Last, but not least, think about the mobile device options and the emergence of advanced technologies, like smartphones or tablets. Why are they so popular? Because consumers of information want mobility and ease of use when accessing information. In fact, we demand it. In most markets, mobile technology is the standard. It's easier to deploy and maintain. It's adaptive, ubiquitous, and FUN!
Is mobile recruiting real and here to stay? You bet it is. Why? Because soon there won't be a differentiation between mobile and fixed technology. Because the population is increasingly mobile, and, for the most part, that's how we like it.
That is why your talent strategy needs to include a mobile component. Without it, you'll fall behind and lose the opportunity to bring in the best talent for your business.
