Today’s clip highlights a couple of things from both the recruiter and the job seeker perspectives. First, as the recruiter, it is always good to be optimistic and try to look for the best in people. However, don’t let that cloud your judgment on how the candidate will really fit the job. They can answer all the questions correctly but when they get to the job, will they really work out?
For the jobseeker, as much as you want that position (maybe working with kids for example), you have to truly think about whether it’s what you really want to do and if it fits your experience. If not, no one is going to be happy, and you’ll be back where you started.
